Crash blocks busy Southampton road in both directions
A FIVE car pile-up has blocked a busy Southampton in both directions this morning.
One person has been reported as injured and emergency services are on the scene.
The incident happened on Bassett Avenue, near the junction with Golf Course Road, at about 7.30am.
Southampton City Council says emergency services are at the scene.
A police spokesperson said: "We were called at 7.20am to reports of a collision involving five vehicles on Bassett Avenue. The road has been closed while emergency services attend and debris is cleared. One person has reported minor injuries."
