THE sentencing of a man who raped a teenager in a Southampton park has been pushed back.
Jozef Janczura was due to be sentenced today at Southampton Crown Court following the attack on his 18-year-old victim in Riverside Park in December 2018.
The 34-year-old was found guilty of rape and assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH) last month following a week-long trial.
His sentencing will now take place on January 31.
As previously reported, Janczura grabbed his victim from behind, strangled her and raped her during the incident at Riverside Park on December 2, 2018.
Officers later matched DNA found on the victim’s body after the incident with that of Janczura’s.
