STORMZY is bringing his massive world tour to Bournemouth.

The Vossi Bop hitmaker will appear at the BIC on Tuesday, September 22, 2020.

The Bournemouth show will form part of the 26-year-old British rapper’s 55-date H.I.T.H world tour in support of his hotly-anticipated forthcoming second album Heavy Is The Head which is released on Friday, December 13.

Daily Echo:

The tour will visit Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, North America, UK & Ireland and Africa and marks Stormzy’s biggest live offering to date.

During the tour, Stormzy will make his solo debut at London's 02 Arena across two nights and he will also perform in Africa for the first time including a date in his homeland of Ghana before ending in Lagos, Nigeria.

Last week, the multi award-winning musician announced his brand new single Own It featuring Ed Sheeran and Burna Boy which is on course to become Stormzy’s seventh top 10 single in today's Official UK Charts.

In April, Vossi Bop broke the record for the biggest week one streams for a British rapper ever with streams accumulating more than 12.7 million.

The single saw combined sales of 94,495 and subsequently earned Stormzy his first ever UK number one single, holding the top position for two consecutive weeks.

Heavy Is The Head has been produced entirely by Stormzy and features additional vocals from musicians hand-picked by the artist including Aitch, Burna Boy, Ed Sheeran, Headie One, H.E.R., Tiana Major9 and YEBBA with production from Fred Gibson, Fraser T Smith, T-Minus and others.

Stormzy was hailed one of TIME Magazine’s ten Next Generation Leaders last month which coincided with him being the only leader honoured with a cover for the special issue.

The artist has become one of the UK’s most inspiring cultural figures and earlier this year, during his headline performance at Glastonbury Festival, he took the opportunity to highlight a plethora of social issues.

In July 2018, Stormzy launched The Stormzy Scholarship – a studentship which funds the study of two black students, each year, at Cambridge University and this summer, launched its second year of the scholarship.

Tickets for the tour go on sale at 9am on Friday, December 6, 2019.

Fans who pre-order Heavy Is The Head from Stormzy's official online store, will be able to gain early access to tickets at https://smarturl.it/stormzy-presale.
