SHOPS and restaurants were targeted during a string of burglaries in a two-week crime spree.
The three businesses affected were Park Pharmacy in Pilgrims Close, Chandler’s Ford, Ali’s Kebab Grill and Pizza House in Gudge Heath Lane, Fareham and Formula One Autocentres in Tollbar way, Hedge End.
These incidents occurred on November 8, November 18 and November 22 respectively.
An arrest has been made following the spate of business break-ins near Eastleigh and Fareham.
The 21-year-old man from Bursledon has been arrested by police on suspicion of three counts of burglary over the past month.
A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: “The 21-year-old man has now been bailed and enquires are ongoing. Officers are also investigating whether any other burglaries in these areas and Eastleigh, between September 29 and November 25, are linked.”
This comes after police begun appealing for information regarding further business break-ins across Eastleigh and the surrounding areas.
Since late September there has been a number of instances of overnight burglaries to businesses in the area and cash tins, safes and tills have been targeted.
