SCHOOLS in the Eastleigh area are coming together to warn parents of an alleged incident in which a man 'followed and took photos of a student'.
Toynbee Secondary School in Chandler's Ford today sent an email to parents, strongly advising them to 'ensure their child does not walk to school or go home alone', and encouraging children to be 'vigilant and safe'.
This comes after the school had reports of an incident involving a man allegedly following and taking photos of one of their students, in Fleming Park, Eastleigh
Shortly after the email was sent, Crestwood Community School issued a statement on their Facebook page, further highlighting the importance of children staying safe.
It read: "After our recent letter sent out regarding safety warnings, we have been made aware by Toynbee School today that one of their pupils was followed by a man on the Fleming Park (Places Leisure) site and he was taking photos. We just want to reiterate the importance of students taking extra care when walking to and from school and please make sure they report anything they feel uncomfortable with to a parent, other adult and to the school."
