A "MASSIVE" gas leak has closed a vital Hampshire road - and engineers say it is likely to be shut until tomorrow.
The A36 between West Wellow and Ower was shut this morning after SGN were called to the scene.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area as SGN works to contain the leak.
Residents in Blackhill have reported that a police cordon has been in place since 8am.
According to an SGN spokesperson on the scene, the A36 is unlikely to be open again today as technicians attempt to stem the gas flow.
