The damage caused by the fire in Chidham Close
FIREFIGHTERS rushed to a kitchen fire in Hampshire this morning.
Crews from Havant, Cosham and Portchester were called at approximately 3.45am to a block of flats in Chidham Close, Havant.
The fire erupted on the second floor and "an old man who lived in the flat was already outside" when fire crews arrived, according to a spokesperson from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service.
The fire was extinguished at approximately 4.43am.
