A WOMAN was taken to hospital after she and her guide dog were attacked by another dog as they walked through Southampton.
The partially-sighted woman, who is in her sixties, suffered a wound to her thigh in the incident.
Police say her guide dog was also attacked but was not hurt.
Officers are trying to locate a “spaniel-type” dog which was being walked by a woman described as white, tall with long dark, curly hair.
The incident happened in Portswood Road last Saturday at 1pm.
A police spokesperson said: “We are investigating after a woman in her 60s and her guide dog were attacked by another dog.
“The woman, who is partially sighted, suffered a wound to her thigh. Her guide dog was also attacked however did not suffer any injuries.
“The dog we want to identify has been described as a spaniel-type dog and was being walked by a woman.”
