ENTERTAINER Bobby Davro is cantering into the Ageas Bowl in Hampshire on October 25 to host a charity race night with a difference.

The event, in aid of Hampshire Cricket in the Community and Wessex Heartbeat, will see guests place bets on themed, recorded horse races that Bobby will introduce and commentate on in his hilarious signature style.

Revellers will be in with a chance of winning big, while also enjoying a sumptuous rolling buffet. The night will be rounded off with a party of songs and comedy from Bobby Davro, who was a hit in last year's Mayflower panto Dick Whittington.

All profits will go to Wessex Heartbeat and Ageas Bowl’s charity, Hampshire Cricket in the Community and will help fund a cardiac rehabilitation programme to be held at the Ageas Bowl.

Stuart Robertson, Director of Hampshire Cricket in the Community said: “This is set to be a fundraising event with a difference and we know Bobby will have the audience in stitches. Hampshire Cricket in the Community is raising funds to improve the wellbeing of people in our community, especially the young, and the money raised from this event will make a big difference.”

John Munro, CEO of Wessex Heartbeat, added: “We’re all big fans of Bobby Davro and we can’t wait to enjoy an evening of fun and games. They say laughter is the best medicine so it’s fitting that a cardiac charity will be benefitting from an evening of comedy.”

Tickets to the event, which starts at 7pm, cost £40 per person, which includes dinner. To book visit ageasbowl.com
