A FIRE damaged a family bathroom after sunlight reflecting off a mirror set a dressing gown alight.
An off-duty firefighter made a call at 12.28pm today after a neighbour asked him for advice on a fire in their bathroom.
One engine from Whitchurch attended the incident on Oxford Road in Sutton Scotney.
The fire was out on arrival, and the crew made the scene safe and removed affected items.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "The off-duty firefighter was visiting a friend who had a fire in their bathroom which was now out.
"The fire was caused by reflected sunlight from a mirror onto items in the bathroom.
"The stop message came in at 1.10pm."
