A SOUTHAMPTON resident celebrated turning 100 years old this month.
Peggy Ruffle, who lives in an independent home at MuirCroft Housing Association in Blackfield, enjoyed her birthday with family and friends on Sunday September 29.
The party was filled to the brim with a special 100-shaped cake, food and balloons.
She said: "I didn’t do anything special to get to 100, I just got here."
Chief Executive of the housing complex Helen Barber said: "Peggy’s glass half-full outlook on life had probably gone a long way towards getting her here. She is an inspiration to us all at MuirCroft Housing Association."
