I read in the southern daily echo recently that Southampton city Council has given permission for the Toys R Us site is to be turned into shops, restaurants and offices.
Surely we have already enough of these in the city which are and not being used.
Surely with the housing shortage which the council has.
I would consider this site to be better used for housing.
After all we have Wyndham Court a council building of flats on the opposite side of the dual carriage way and train track.
Surely this would be good to have a workforce on hand for local established shops and offices?
