THE Wessex Historic Tractor and Implement Club's annual Ploughing Match is to be held this weekend.
On September 15, on the club's 50th anniversary, the event will run at Grace’s Farm in Martyr Worthy.
There are five classes for tractors and horticultural machinery.
The competitors come from all walks of life, not necessarily from the agricultural world.
The Wessex Historic Tractor and Implement Club was set up fifty years ago by the then committee of the Hampshire County Ploughing Match.
This committee consisted of a group of farmers, auctioneers and others with farming interests who wanted to preserve historic tractors.
The Club meets at The Swan Hotel, Alresford on the first Tuesday of each month from October to April.
