The new Prime Minister Boris Johnson is presently making all sorts of promises of money for this, and money for that, purely for electioneering purposes, without a clue of how his government will provide it.

However, one expenditure he has failed to address is for social care, and he has further delayed the social care reform plan.

This poor judgement is causing huge pressures on not only budgets of the social care authorities, but also extreme extra pressure on the NHS.

Figures show that Britain spends less on social care than nearly all other countries in Western Europe. Only Portugal and Spain spend less than Britain.

However, in these countries relatives mainly take on the responsibility of caring for their elderly relatives.

The Prime Minister and his government need to urgently address this major problem within this country – not gallivanting about like an headless chicken.
