A SOUTHAMPTON man has appeared in court accused of a string of burglaries and frauds.

Shane Jonathan Kimber, 25, appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court today (Saturday August 17) charged with three counts of burglary, five counts of aggravated vehicle taking, and three counts of fraud.

The charges follow allegations of a burglary in Knights Meadow, North Baddesley, on May 17 in which a purse was stolen and a Citroen C3 was stolen from the driveway; a Ford Focus Zetec being taken from Olive Road, Southampton, on June 5; a burglary in Horseshoe Close, Fareham, between June 10 and June 13 in which a handbag and wallet was stolen, and Peugeot 206 stolen from driveway; a burglary in Ambrose Way, Romsey, between June 10 and June 13 in which a wallet and handbags were stolen, and BMW and Audi were stolen from the driveway.

The fraud charges relate to the alleged use of stolen bank cards.

Kimber was remanded in custody following the hearing.

It is not yet know when Kimber will appear in court again, or when he will enter a plea to the charges.
