AN INVESTIGATION is underway after a woman said she was raped in a Southampton park.
Police have cordoned off a wooded area in the park between Summers Street and Union Road this morning following the incident.
The 19-year-old woman is being supported by specialist officers.
No-one has been arrested.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokeswoman said: "We are investigating a report of a rape against a 19-year-old woman that happened between Union road and Summer’s Street on Sunday 11 August.
"The incident happened between 8.40pm and 9.20pm.
"The woman is being supported by specialist officers.
"Officers remain at the scene today (August 12) carrying out enquiries."
A forensic tent has been set up under a tree and officers remain at the scene.
