WINCHESTER wine drinkers can learn more about their favourite drink next month when 'Wine Education Week' will see a host of events in the city.

As part of it's 50th birthday celebrations, the Wine and Spirit Education Trust, the largest global provider of wine and spirits qualifications, will be holding the first Wine Education Week that will take place around the world.

Taking place on September 9 to 15, it will celebrate the diversity, taste and culture of the world of wine with a programme of interactive events, all of which are focused on learning about and enjoying wines from across the globe.

The Winchester events will get under way on September 9 at the Chesil Rectory, with further events taking place on September 10 and 13 at The Blend Academy, and September 14 at The King Alfred and Toscanaccio.

There will also be events at The Chalet in Eastleigh on September 12, and Hambledon Vineyard on September 15.WSET Wine in a day Enjoy Discovering Wine
