A HOLLYWOOD celebrity has paid a visit to a Hampshire children's charity.

Kiefer Sutherland visited children and young adults at Naomi House & Jacksplace to play songs and enjoy some cake.

The Canadian actor and now successful singer-songwriter had been performing as part of The Kiefer Sutherland Band at Wickham Festival on Sunday.

Kiefer is known for his role as Jack Bauer in the drama series 24, for which he won an Emmy Awar

On a post on its Facebook page, Naomi House & Jacksplace said: "You won't believe what just happened! The wonderful Kiefer Sutherland just popped into Naomi House & Jacksplace to play some songs for the children and young adults we care for and enjoy some famous Naomi House cake. An incredible, moving and special moment - and a memory we shall all treasure forever. Thank you, Kiefer."

He is the son of actor Donald Sutherland and has appeared in classic films such as Stand by Me, The Lost Boys, Flatliners and A Few Good Men.

During his shows, he covers some of his favourite songs from Merle Haggard and Tom Petty playing a variety of rock classics and country standards.

The Wickham Festival is a four-day music and arts festival held every August near the village of Wickham.

THOUSANDS of music lovers partied the evening away at Wickham Festival this year.

The family-friendly event once again attracted big crowds with headliners including Frank Turner & the Sleeping Souls, Gilbert O’Sullivan, Lindisfarne, Alabama 3.

In previous years artists such as Squeeze and John Isley of Dire Straits have played.
