McDonald's restaurants across Hampshire will offer breakfast until 11am, as a 30-minute extension is being trialled in the South East.

Across the region 115 outlets, including those in Southampton, New Forest and Winchester, will now offer breakfast for longer as they test customers reaction to the extended breakfast hours.

For the last six weeks, some restaurants have been trialling the extension which gives customers an extra 30 minutes to get their hands on a McMuffin.

Now 10 per cent of McDonald’s restaurants in the UK will be offering the extended breakfast and if successful, this could extend across the country later this year.

Currently across the UK and Ireland breakfast is served until 10.30am and has been for nearly 25 years, but following the success of a pilot in seven restaurants, McDonald’s will now extend the trial further.

Customers will have to wait until 11am to get their hands on a Big Mac but the trial continues to see whether or not the public wants to see this rolled out across the UK and Ireland.
