THE WORLD’S biggest obstacle course fun run descended on Southampton last weekend.
Gung-Ho! was held at on Southampton Common on July 20, where thrillseekers had the chance to roll back the years and conquer the world’s biggest fun-run. This featured huge new-and-improved obstacles.
Gung-Ho! Seriously Fun 5k took adults, and children, back to the days of Total Wipeout, Fun House and It’s A Knockout as they clambered over and through giant inflatables.
The huge, fun-filled course – which boasted giant mazes, walls, gauntlets and slides amongst other obstacles – was filled with enough air to inflate more than 75 million footballs.
The mastermind behind the event Alex Winters, a former Cbeebies presenter, came up with the concept while watching an episode of Ninja Warrior back in 2014.
Gung-Ho! is in its fifth year now the event is working in partnership with national charity BBC Children in Need.
