POLICE have launched a hunt for three men who stole a £1,300 phone from a Southampton shop.

Officers say the trio entered the O2 store in Shirley High Street shortly before 1pm on Thursday before asking a member of staff is they could look at the phone.

They then grabbed the phone, along with two other demo display phones, and ran out of the store.

Descriptions have been released of the men, along with CCTV images.

The first is described as white, 5ft 6in tall, slim and in his mid 20s. He had a northern accent and was wearing a dark blue baseball cap, full cotton grey tracksuit and white trainers.

The second man is also described as white, 5ft 6in tall, slim and in his mid 20s. He is of large build and was wearing a blue summer-style hat, a dark blue jacket, light t-shirt, three-quarter-length dark blue shorts and dark shoes.

The third man was described as white, 5ft 10in and in his mid 20s. He was wearing a grey baseball cap, a grey hoody, skinny blue jeans, white socks and sandals and was carrying a pair of sunglasses.

Officers are urging anyone who recognises the men, or who saw someone matching those descriptions in Shirley that day, to call police on 101 and quote 44190251447.
