A SOUTHAMPTON woman more than £1,500 worth of clothing has been given a community order.
Colleen McCartney, 45, committed three thefts, all from John Lewis at Westquay in Southampton.
The first took place in November last year, when she stole £674 worth of clothing.
She stole £554 worth of clothing on March 2 and £576 worth of clothing the following day, on March 3.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, the 45-year-old pleaded guilty to three counts of theft.
She was given a community order for 12 months, including 20 days of rehabilitation activity requirement.
McCartney, of Braishfield Close, Southampton, was also fined £20 and ordered to pay court costs of £85.
