THE TV star had spent time in the Hampshire village on set but, for one day in 1999, she returned to visit their annual country fair.
Actress Una Stubbs made a return visit to Pucknall Farm, Braishfield, where she filmed for Worzel Gummidge.
Una, who played Aunt Sally in the series, entered the main ring driving a 70-year-old traction engine called Boxer’s Beauty, owned by Braishfield man RG “Boxer” Old.
“It was lovely,” said Una as she climbed down after a somewhat windswept and smokey ride.
Mr Old was equally happy - it was the first time he had an actress as a passenger.
Una was accompanied by two of her sons, Christian and Joe, on the engine. A third son, Jason, was elsewhere on the fairground at the time.
During the the first afternoon of the weekend, which attracted more than 20,000 visitors, she was kept busy signing autographs for fans.
However, Una still managed to visit the stall used in the series, manned for the fair by members of the then-newly-formed Romsey Lions Club.
