FAREHAM residents can attend an upcoming gin festival with a new twist.
The Gin festival at the Ashcroft arts centre in Osborn Road is set to return this year in a different guise.
After running for two years, this year the event will combine gin and swing dance.
It will take place on July 27 from 7 until 11pm and guests will be able to enjoy live music, swing dancing, 29 locally distilled gins all with a vintage speakeasy feel.
For the first hour guests can learn how to swing dance with dancers from Jive n Boogie who run vintage swing jive courses and social dances in Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex.
After this there will be live music from a vintage band from London called Dixieland and swing jazz band The Sunshine Kings.
The 29 distilled gins will be provided by Fareham Wine Cellar and there will be a mixologist on the night to create cocktails.
Guests will also be able to enjoy cheese platters available on the night.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Cultural Trust who manage the Ashcroft Centre said: "It is set to be a really fun even.T
"People should come along as it is something a bit different and will be a nice atmosphere.
"It is also a good opportunity to let you hair down and have a dance."
Tickets can be purchased in advance for £10 or they cost £12 if bought on the door.
Admission includes two free gin tasters and can be bought via : https://www.ashcroft.org.uk/event/gin-swing
