Emergency services close main road in Southampton after crash
A MAIN route out of Southampton was shut for hours overnight after a serious crash.
Mountbatten Way was shut leaving the city from 11.05pm last night following the incident.
Emergency services closed the road from its junction with Southern Road.
A diversion was put in place which takes drivers on to Millbrook Road West via Shirley Road and Paynes Road.
The road reopened at about 6.50am.
Details of the crash have not yet been released.
