Another week - another look back through time with the aid of photographers' pictures.

These images provide a nostalgic trip back to June 1999, when the Duke of Edinburgh paid a visit to the Warsash Maritime College.

Another to come to Hampshire was Francis Maude, then-Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, when he dropped in on Bitterne Conservative Club for a cup of tea and a chat.

June 16

David Sutch, the founder of the Official Monster Raving Loony Party, was found hanged at his home. He was 58 at the time.

June 18

Police clashed with protestors at a capitalism protest in London.

June 19

St Georges's Chapel, Windsor, was the venue for the marriage of Prince Edward and Sophie Rhys-Jones.

June 23

Construction of the Millennium Dome was finished in Greenwich, London. Work had begun in 1997.

June 26

The Millennium Stadium was opened in Cardiff, Wales. The national sports stadium in the home of the Wales national rugby union team.
