BEST-SELLING novelist Joanna Trollope will be speaking in Winchester to raise funds for Winchester Go LD.

The talk will be on Wednesday July 3 at 3pm in the Bapsy Hall at the Guildhall.

She will speak about her writing, and sign her books at the end of the event.

Joanna has been writing fiction for over 30 years including The Choir, A Village Affair, A Passionate Man and her first best-seller The Rector’s Wife.

Since then she has written many bestselling books including an up to date version of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility, and City of Friends.

Her latest novel, published in 2018, is An Unsuitable Match. Joanna also wrote Britannia’s Daughters – a non fiction study of women in the British Empire as well as a number of historical novels now published under Caroline Harvey.

Tickets £40 to include a glass of Bucks Fizz on arrival, a waitress-served tea with freshly-prepared sandwiches, scones, cakes and mini-desserts with a choice of Fairtrade coffee, tea or herbal infusion. Plus a raffle with fabulous prizes.

Joanna was awarded the OBE in 1996 for services to literature.

This event is in aid of Winchester Go LD, a charity which enables and supports people with learning disabilities in Winchester and the surrounding district.
