MORE travellers have arrived at Veracity Ground in Sholing.
They have joined an existing group already there which means there are now more than 20 caravans on the site.
Several cars have also been seen driving around the field.
According to Hampshire Police, the gathering is an “unauthorised encampment”.
Southampton City Council has reported that Active Nation, who manages the area of land, are aware that the travellers have entered the Veracity Ground site.
The council says it is taking legal action to remove the encampment and issued a letter in person to them, telling them to leave the area.
The letter highlighted the impact their presence was having on local sport and recreation activities.
