A MILKMAN has admitted driving without due care and attention after a collision involving a motorbike in the New Forest.
Francis Chan, of Clarence Place in Christchurch, appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday. The crash happened in Dibden Purlieu on August 9 2018.
Magistrates heard he was behind the wheel of his milk float when he pulled out of Watermans Lane into Beaulieu Road.
However, he failed to see biker Sean Payne, who was on his Yamaha motorbike in Beaulieu Road. As a result, Mr Payne was unable to avoid hitting the milk float.
Chan, 41, was fined £130 and ordered to pay a £30 surcharge and £85 costs.
Magistrates also gave him four points for the offence.
