A NEW campaign to encourage more families to consider fostering has been launched in Southampton.
Southampton City Council have launched #WhyWeFoster and highlights that being a foster carer is "no ordinary job", but can bring enormous satisfaction and pride.
There’s an urgent need for more foster carers in the UK, with more than 6,800 children looking for a new foster family.
In Southampton, the council are looking to recruit 30 families this year who could take on either an older child, a sibling group or a disabled child.
