EMERGENCY services were called to a chip shop fire in Shirley this evening.
The incident happened at Lin's Fish & Chips, at the corner of Malmesbury Road and Shirley Road in Shirley, at about 5.20pm.
Shirley Road was shut in both directions between Malmesbury Road and Howard Road while firefighters deal with the blaze.
The road was reopened at about 6.10pm.
The building was left damaged by the fire but there were no reports of any injuries.
