BUDDING photographers are invited to a fun, free, festival-themed event next week.

Castle Cameras will be holding its annual Spring Shoot photography show at The Hamworthy Club in Canford Magna on Tuesday, May 14.

The event runs between 10am and 4pm and will feature a host of activities for budding music and food photographers but is open to everyone.

Renowned music photographer Peter Neill, who has worked with the likes of Queen, Justin Timberlake, Will.i.am, The Script and U2, will be giving a live music photography demonstration.

While in the food hall, Esther Ling will be doing live demonstrations on how she captures beautiful still life images of food. Esther will bring her lighting set up and participants will have a chance to photograph with her.

The talents of the Daily Echo’s Camera Club, which is supported by Castle Cameras, will also be on display as part of an art gallery.

Plus, there will be ballet and hip-hop performances throughout the day with seminars on how to capture them.

Dorset-based photographer, Matt Hardy, who has over 32,000 follows on Instagram, will also be telling visitors about his journey and how others can increase their social media following.

Karen Brooks of Castle Cameras said: “It’s a good fun day and if you’re into photography that’s an added bonus.”

Entry and parking is free. Castle Cameras has been running the event since the family-run business started in 1974 and last year’s Spring Shoot had a circus-theme.
