A 97-year-old man died when his mobility scooter was involved in a collision with a car in Eastleigh.
Hampshire police officers were called to the accident on Wide Lane, after a Ford Fiesta and mobility scooter collided.
The rider, from West End was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment for his injuries.
The police are now particularly keen to speak to the owner of a black Nissan Qashqai who they believe may have witnessed the collision take place.
A police spokesperson, said: "We understand this vehicle was directly behind the Ford Fiesta, so may be able to provide a valuable account of what happened. So, if this is you, please get in touch."
The accident happend on May 1 and he subsequently died in hospital in the early hours of Saturday, May 4.
