A TEST VALLEY school scooped second position at the finals of a dance competition.
Schools from across Hampshire have been competing in the finals of a national dance competition at Portsmouth Guildhall this week.
Pupils from Wellow Primary School whave been battling it out with the likes of Bitterne Manor Primary School and Valentine’s Primary School, both from Southampton, to take the top spoke in the Junior Rock Challenge.
Headteacher Beth Larcombe said that she was “absolutely delighted” that the school scooped the second place position.
She added: “Rock challenge is a highlight of the year for the children and it was such a fabulous experience.”
First place was won by Wicor Primary School, Portchester, third place by St Paul’s Church of England Primary School, Chipperfield and fourth place by Cornerstone Church of England Primary School, Fareham.
The news comes after Wellow Primary School scooped the crown in their heat at last year’s challenge and were presented with an award from Romsey and Southampton North MP Caroline Nokes.
