SAINTS moved closer to Premier League safety with a vital 3-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at St Mary's.
Southampton forward Nathan Redmond drew first blood in the second minute of the match,before Wolves responded with their equaliser shortly before the half-hour mark.
Wolves weren't level for long as less than two minutes later, Redmond netted his brace.
Shane Long came on for Danny Ings in the second half to score his second in the last two matches to secure victory and three points for Saints.
