SUE, our chair of trustees Open Sight Hampshire, has set herself the tough challenge of running the gruelling 26-mile Virgin London Marathon on April 28 this year.

This is in order to raise much needed funds to pay for Eye Health Education presentations at primary schools throughout Hampshire.

Eye Health Education is important, as one in four children aged between five and 12 suffer from an undiagnosed sight problem which may be detrimental to their ability to learn and their performance at school.

Please support and sponsor Sue in her attempt to raise £6,000 to provide Eye Health Educations presentations to 12,000 primary school children across Hampshire.

These presentations cost just 50p per child, and the information leaflets we distribute are an effective tool in publicising the Eye Health message to the wider family.

Let’s educate the children to take care of their eyes, so that they have the best possible start in life.
