Piers Morgan had to apologise for swearing on Good Morning Britain yesterday. We asked readers if there is too much swearing on television?

Tina Barnes, a 48-year-old partner at Waitrose from Swaythling, said: "It depends on what context it is, because sometimes when people feel so passionate about things they swear."

Sharen Masters, a 45-year-old retired Southampton General Hospital employee from Swaythling said: "Probably yes. There is too much swearing but it has become more acceptable that is the problem. I think it becomes part of the normal language."

Tom Faucett, an 18-year-old student from Locks Heath, said: "I think yes there is but it is about the time it is said. Presenters should know what they can say during what time."

Peter Butler, a 60-year-old retired chef from Swaythling, said: "In the right context it is needed. Swearing goes a long way."
