ISN’T it odd that all the climate change protesters seem to target the UK government as the villains who are causing the “climate emergency” and yet UK CO2 emissions have fallen consistently in each of the past six years as a result of government action to shut coal-powered power stations.
Last year the UK claimed to have the lowest CO2 emissions in more than 120 years.
I wonder why they don’t target China which emits over 28% of world CO2, and where they are currently building almost 260 gigawatts of new coal-fired power generating capacity (equivalent to roughly the entire US coal power station fleet).
Could it be that they are simply unaware of these facts? Or do they prefer to attack their own government, even though the UK only emits just over 1% of world emissions.
