MAY I say a great big thank-you to the 29th Immaculata Scout Group which came along to Monksbrook Meadows on Saturday and helped clear pathways of bramble and removed a tonne of discarded litter and cable-stripping activities.
They even found a box full of discarded Christmas socks to add a touch of humour to their hard work and endeavours!
I then took them for a touch of magnet fishing in the Monksbrook as a small way of saying thank you. We did not get much apart from a tyre as the river had changed up there due to fallen trees.
A great job done, many thanks from the local community.
