A SOUTHAMPTON man has been ordered to carry out unpaid work after attacking an emergency worker.
Farrid Ahmed Rajab, 32, of Belmont Road, pleaded guilty to assaulting the first responder by beating him when he appeared before magistrates earlier this month.
The attack took place in Southampton on December 16.
Magistrates in Basingstoke ordered Rajab to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work as part of a community order.
The community order also included a requirement to carry out up to 20 days of rehabilitation activities.
He was also ordered to pay £85 in compensation by the court.
