The Itchen Bridge.
POLICE were called to the Itchen Bridge in Southampton today amid fears a woman was planning to jump.
The woman was taken into the care of Hampshire Constabulary after being found on the railings at the bridge at 6am.
Coastguards were alerted after the incident began but were stood down and did not attend.
A similar incident is understood to have occurred on the bridge at midnight.
Hampshire police have been contacted for comment.
