A DRIVER caught doing 100mph on the M27 has appeared in court for a string of offences.
Amir Ali appeared before Southampton magistrates after being found guilty of speeding along the motorway at Rownhams in a 2018-reg Kia Optima.
Ali, of Greenlea Crescent, Swaythling, was also found guilty of driving without due care, having a child in the rear seat without an appropriate child seat and failing to stop at a red light.
Ali, 42, had denied the offences except for not using an appropriate child seat.
Magistrates banned him from driving for a total of seven months – two months for speeding and five months for driving without due care. He was fined £400.
Ali was also ordered to pay £500 in costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
