FOR many people in Southampton it was the centre of entertainment and has provided many golden memories.
The Top Rank provided a nightclub, dancehall and disco all under one roof – the likes of which had never been seen in Southampton before.
In August 1962, patrons were treated to something else – ten-pin bowling. These pictures were taken at the time and show revellers enjoying the new alleys.
