POLICE have launched a robbery investigation after a 14-year-old boy had his bike stolen by three other teenagers.

The victim was cycling in Testvale Park, Totton, when he was punched in the face and suffered a black eye.

His bike is described as a dark blue Eschara Explorer with a power box on the left handle and Bicycles 4 U marked on the main frame.

He was cycling near the duck pond in the car on Tuesday at around 6.30pm when he was robbed.

One of his assailants was white, aged 15-16, and about 5ft 7ins. He was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top and dark-coloured tracksuit bottoms.

One if his accomplices was black, aged 14-16, about 5ft 4in and chubby. He was wearing a shiny black padded jacket with a hood.

A police spokesman said: "An investigation is underway and officers are making enquiries.

"As part of the investigation, a 17-year-old boy from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder, possession of an offensive weapon and robbery.

"He has been released from custody but remains under investigation."
