A CHARITY gameshow featuring current and former Saints players has been postponed.

A Game of Two Halves, a gameshow that will see two teams of current and former players compete against each other, was set to be played on January 15.

Due to Saints drawing their FA Cup third round game away at Derby, the replay will be held at St Marys Stadium on January 16, and the quiz will have to be held on a different day.

The Saints Foundation are currently working to find a new date to suit, and all ticket holders have been notified.

A spokesperson for the Saints Foundation said: "Due to the draw on Saturday against Derby, we are having to reschedule the quiz as it clashes with the replay.

"We are working on finding a new date that suits all.

"All ticket holders have been notified with this information."

The gameshow will see the superstar team, captained by Charlie Austin, pitched against the legends team in a series of rounds.

Charlie Austin's team of Jack Stephens, Shane Long and Stuart Armstrong, will go up against Matt Le Tissier's legends team, consisting of Rickie Lambert, Francis Benali and a mystery guest who will be unveiled on the night.

The hosts for the night will be Francis Benali's daughter, Kenzie, who was formerly the match day presenter at St Mary's Stadium, and Southampton-born comedian Tom Deacon.

The tickets start from £16.49, with all proceeds going towards the Saints Foundation.

Held in Mike Channon Suite, the teams will compete in 10 different rounds, including a quickfire question rounds based on the 17/18 Premier League season and the history of the club and the 2018 world cup.

There will also be special guest appearances, and the chance to own some Southampton FC memorabilia.

Last year, Charlie Austin captained Matt Targett, Jack Stephens and Cedric Soares to victory over Matt Le Tissier, Francis Benali, Rickie Lambert and Dean Hammond.
