A WOMAN pedestrian was knocked down and killed in a collision with a car in Southampton early on Saturday morning.
Details of the woman's identity have not been revealed by police, except that she is aged 26 and from Southampton, and officers say she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident occurred at around 1.40am in The Avenue, when there was a collision between a white Ford Fiesta being driven by a man in his twenties.
A spokesman confirmed the driver was not arrested, and that the collision was just south of the junction with Padwell Road.
Now, the police are appealing for witnesses or dash cam footage to help with their investigation, particularly those witnesses who may have seen the woman immediately prior to the collision.
