POLICE have launched an investigation after an incident outside a Hampshire pub, in which a bouncer appears to shove a woman to the floor.

The video, shot outside Alfie's bar in Winchester High Street, shows an altercation between a bouncer and a woman.

The woman then appears to fall over, after an apparent shove from the bouncer.

Amy Bennett says she was attempting to enter Alfie’s on Thursday, but was turned away at the door for being too drunk.

The video clip show’s part of the incident.

The bar has made the full footage available for the police investigation.

The 18-year-old said: "I remember one of the bouncers began to be really rude to me and telling me I was annoying.

“I would never have called him names or screamed at him.

Daily Echo:

“I would have just been backing myself up, telling him not to be so rude.

“I completely understand that I was not in the right in any way, to do any of the things I did that night, and I honestly apologise for that.

“However, nothing I did that night deserved a reaction like that.

“As a bouncer, you have a duty of care."

General manager of the bar, Craig Friswell, said: “We are currently co-operating fully with the police and have made all the footage we have of the entire incident available to them.”
