POLICE have seized an air gun and arrested three men as part of drugs crackdown.

Officers say the gas-powered air pistol was taken as part of a two day operation across Totton.

A 26-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested in the town's High Street on 17 December on suspicion of possessing Class B drugs with intent to supply.

A 27-year-old man from Southampton was also arrested on Junction Road on 18 December in connection with two robberies.

These include Co-op on Rumbridge Street, Totton, on 16 December and the Spar store, also on Rumbridge Street, Totton, on 24 November.

He has also been arrested on suspicion of a burglary in Rushington Lane, Totton on 19 November.

A 34-year-old man from Totton was arrested in Junction Road on 18 December on suspicion of a burglary in Church Street, Fordingbridge on 18 August.

All three men have been released from custody while investigations continue.

Police say as part of this operation, they also seized a small quantities of cannabis and a vehicle with no insurance.

Inspector Helen Andrews said: “This operation was carried out under Fortress, Hampshire Constabulary’s campaign to reduce the harm of drug-related violence.

“We’re determined to identify and disrupt anyone who is concerned in the supply of illegal drugs and other crimes that impact the local community.
