NEW research has revealed that women aged 25-34 years old are the most organised in the UK preparing for Christmas Day.

Brits are ditching the Christmas Eve panic shop, as they prepare for the festivities well in advance.

A survey of 1,000 UK adults carried out by e-tailer Christmas Tree World revealed that women aged 25-34 years old are the most organised in the UK preparing for Christmas Day.

When quizzed on how they prepare for Christmas, shopping was high on Brits’ agenda – more than 1 in 3 (39 percent) have done all of their Christmas shopping by November 30!

This was followed by the food order, as 33 per cent said they had completed this by the second week in November.

Keen Brits also get ahead with their wrapping, as more than 1 in 5 said they usually have this finished by November 30.

Dressing the home for Christmas wasn’t far from the nations radar either – just under half (46 percent) said they ordered the Christmas tree in September.

Stephen Evans, managing director at Christmas Tree World said: “Our research shows just how early the nation is preparing for Christmas, and it appears to be getting earlier every year. Clearly, a lot of time and effort goes into making Christmas Day special for everyone involved and this is reflected in how early people begin and finish preparing for the big day.

“Trying to achieve all of the festive preparation that needs to be done in one go right before Christmas is exhausting and stressful, so it is really positive to see how families begin as early as possible. This not only enables people to enjoy the build up to Christmas more, but will also ensure we are not dashing to the shops for last minute Christmas essentials which can impact on both stress levels and purse strings.”
