TWO lanes of the M27 were closed after a multi-vehicle pile-up near Southampton.
The incident was on the eastbound carriageway, near junction three for Rownhams.
The incident, which has now been cleared, caused a two and a half mile tailback - causing a delay of around 30 minutes.
Highways England sent teams to assess barrier damage at the scene.
